The Ultimate Guide to Pinterest Marketing

The Ultimate Guide to Pinterest Marketing

How to do pinterest marketing, you ask? It’s actually much easier than you might think! This ultimate guide will give you all the tools you need to launch your own social media

marketing campaign on the world’s biggest pinning site, Pinterest. Everything from setting up your profile and joining groups to sharing your content and tracking analytics, I’ll show you how it’s done. Even if you aren’t actively trying to market your

business on Pinterest, this information can be invaluable when it comes to branding yourself as an expert in your industry!

Step 1

Create a business profile . Creating a business account allows you to showcase your work and products on one of Pinterest’s most-trafficked tabs, Explore. You can also create collections and boards for further organization. Most importantly, it gives you

access to data about how many people are interacting with your pins. If you are unable to verify your website, use social media accounts or your Facebook page.

Step 2

Setting up your account and ads with Pinterest is relatively straightforward, but keep in mind there are nuances you should know before setting up your campaign. You can begin by following these steps: 1. Sign in to your business’s dashboard and select

Create Campaign under New Ads Account. Then, select Display Network as your targeting method; 2. Now that you have your campaign set up, it’s time to determine how much you want to spend each day on your ad. To do so, follow these steps: • Click Your Settings (at the top-right of any page) • Click Budget & Schedule • Set a daily budget (we

recommend $15-$30 a day) 3. Start testing different images! Experimenting with images works well for many businesses since most people only like seeing products or services from one company at a time.

Step 3

How can I grow my audience? In order to keep that growth momentum going and get more people visiting your site, you will want to be proactive with some things. Here is what you should do Here are 8 steps to growing an audience:

1. Submit your content in relevant subreddits on Reddit: This is hands down one of our favorite ways to get eyeballs on our site, so we actually wrote a guide about it (see above). The main thing to note here is that all of our submissions include a link

back to our website somewhere in them (either at the beginning or end). If you don’t include one, many moderators won’t allow your post on their subreddit.

Step 4

Link your target keyword and content from professional networks or platforms you're a part of. Your audience is most likely lurking on these channels as well so it will give them extra incentive to check out your site. Don't be shy about asking for backlinks either. You

want people to view your content, so why not give them some nudging? By integrating your core keyword into conversations and by giving people reasons to link you back, you'll be able to increase traffic flow right off the bat.

Step 5

Find or make a cover image. It doesn’t have to be perfect, but do try to choose something that is as descriptive as possible without being too long. There’s no extra character limit for your author bio, so take advantage of that—if you need help with your

description just ask! Click Save Changes when you’re done. Congratulations! You are officially an author on Medium and can now bask in your glory. Share it with friends and enjoy your success!

Step 6

Choose which social media platform you will use for your series. Choose between Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or Tumblr. Explain your choice in one sentence (1-2 sentences) with reasons why you chose that platform over others. Use at least 2-3 sources for your explanation. (4-5 total). I choose to

do my series on Tumblr because it’s a social media site that seems to have everything! It has people who like crafts, beauty products, fashion and so much more. I feel as though tumblr is a great place for my audience. They can see what is new and upcoming

with our culture. The information here might help some of them get their own businesses off of tumblr if they are not able to start their own business right away!
